1st- Paris: Josephine de Beauharnais, Bonaparte's wife, marries her daughter Hortense with Louis Bonaparte, her husband's brother.
5- North America: The British William Bowles, in charge of a force of Seminoles, Black Seminoles, fugitive slaves, white pirates, and Spanish deserters from Pensacola, places a siege on San Marcos, in Florida, but must withdraw when Spanish ships arrive.
11- South America: Although the war has ended, in retaliation for the September 1801 attack, 54 Portuguese soldiers from the Miranda fort (Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil) take and raze the San José fort (Paraguay) (defended by 100 men commanded by Captain Juan Caballero), located on the southern bank of the Apa River.
25-Italy: The Cisalpine Republic is renamed the Italian Republic, and Bonaparte becomes its president, although in practice the government was left in the hands of Vice President Francesco Melzi d'Eril. 29- Caribbean: a squad led by Villaret de Joyeuse arrives in Hispaniola. Toussaint gave orders to his lieutenants, Jean-Jacques Dessalines and Henri Christophe, to let the French know that, in the event of disembarkation, they will destroy the cities and kill the white population before taking refuge in the mountains.
31- Luis Muñoz de Guzmán is appointed governor and captain general of Chile.

3-Caribbean: Villaret attacked Cap-Français by land and sea; Christophe executed his orders: many whites were beheaded and cities burned.
