Procedural Will

Every value rests on a premise. Every premise was chosen. Most systems conceal their starting points — converting preferences into reported facts about the universe, installing the dishonest terminus where derivation would otherwise expose the ground.

Procedural Will begins where others stop. From a declared terminal value — the persistence of the human species and the conditions that make it possible — the derivation proceeds without suspension: through causality and causal closure, through the biological origins of motivation and the evolutionary mechanisms that produce values as residue rather than revelation, through the procedural structure of a will that is real and determined simultaneously, to a hierarchy of structural conditions that persistence requires and a set of operational conclusions that the arithmetic produces when the full accounting is performed.
