Richard was born in Echuca, Victoria, and has led a diverse and adventurous life. He spent over a year living and working in Ireland, along with some experience in China. Richard’s career began in welding, before he pursued further education, earning an Associate Diploma of Engineering. He worked as an engineering designer for 25 years, honing his skills in the field.

Driven by a love of learning, Richard completed a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Certificate in Physics. He then pursued a Graduate Diploma in Education, which led to a rewarding 15-year teaching career in various schools. Along the way, he earned a Master's in TESOL, further expanding his expertise in education and language teaching.

It was during his time as a teacher that Richard began to explore his passion for writing, eventually starting his first novel.
